This is one sweet juice bomb and we hope you go as crazy for it as we do.

Origin
Bollodu comes straight from the biggest and most well-known coffee-producing region in Ethiopia: Yirgacheffe, Sidamo. This region has been producing exceptional coffees over many years, while the country itself is considered the birthplace of coffee.

Washed process
Yirgacheffe is recognised for its exceptional coffees, and many use the washed process. This specific coffee has been grown across 650-750 farms working together. Each farm averages around two hectares; after picking, these shade-grown, ripe cherries are delivered to the mill to be carefully sorted and washed.

Upon arrival, mill manager Abiyot Ageze keeps everything running smoothly until the next step for the cherries: drying in the sun on raised beds for approximately 12 to 15 days.

They don’t get to bask nicely in the sun all day – that would be dangerous. Instead, these cherries are treated like children: kept away from the hot sun between 12pm and 3pm, and at night, they’re covered and tucked into bed to protect them from rainfall and moisture.

We hope you enjoy brewing this wonderful coffee as much as we do – it's very close to our hearts.
